Alright. This is happening. Having tabbed “The Great Southern Trendkill” has triggered an urgent desire to do the entire Pantera bass, and not even waiting to complete all Metallica first as planned.
So, how do we call this endeavour? The Metallica one is “Tab Em All”. This was an obvious and even a bit stock choice, but with Pantera it’s a bit less on the surface. Here’s a few options and suggest yours in the comments.
Meanwhile, check out my isolated bass tracks with tabs on @Yeahuy channel. You might make some cool discoveries about the bass lines you thought you knew.

TAB ‘EM ALL james of progress for ya! Now we’re at 25% on our mission to transcribe the bass from Metallica’s main albums: 30 of 119 songs, including two full albums (Seasons and Black) The tabs are available at basstabs.org/ and isolated bass tracks are on @Yeahuy channel.
Besides that, we also have: 8 non-albums original tracks, 30-ish studio covers and a few dozen other things, such as live bass solos and alternate versions (like Rob’s Orion) - about 200 in total! But most of that cool stuff will have to wait until we’re 100% with the pillar records.
Meanwhile some non-fkn-band tabs have been released for change, namely Iron Maiden and Megadeth (and Pantera is on the way). Then we take on another Metallica album, or maybe just random tracks that have least accurate tabs online.

Another full Metallica album tabbed! 😎 Whole package goes live in a few days. Now you can already download Sandman and Sad Butt rue, plus Struggle Within was already done back in April. It’s at basstabs.org/
If all’s good, we’ll do the Black album bass analysis like we did with 72 Seasons. Jason did some pretty cool stuff there I wasn’t aware of. Fkn shame no tab website still has accurate tabs for that - and that’s like the biggest metal album
