IāM LAUNCHING A FESTIVAL. Iāve talked a lot about the future of dance music I want to see, so instead of waiting I created it. Since most mainstream dance/electronic festivals have decided to remain boringly un-inclusive Iāve decided to book an all Black lineup to make my dreams come true. By honouring Dance musicās heritage and getting a taste of the future I want to reignite a much needed connection back to what Dance music is all about ā creating a space where people from all different communities can come together, dance their hearts out and feel free to be themselves. This festival is for my BIPOC and LGBTQ+ family and our ALLIES. Letās celebrate and come together. The first time playing in front of a live crowd again takes me back to when I first started DJing -- but this time it was different -- now I see a future where diversity in dance music is the norm and this is just the beginning. I could feel the openness of the people dancing, the hunger for my BIPOC-focused dance set from around the world, and it makes me so grateful to be alive to see it.
