After a trip to Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit to watch ... a tractor... Nospikyspiky needed a bite to eat so she ordered a Ciabatta Bread Sandwich for lunch at Hilton Hotel Restaurant, she asked the staff member for the carb count so that she could take the correct insulin for the sandwich and was told it was 3g carbs which obvs was incorrect so back to guesswork.. so inevitably she then suffered a spike of 18 Mmol & that is after 4 corrections! Why oh why do restaurants/cafes etc not a) Provide Low Carb food options (after all they provide Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free etc) or b) provide the full accurate carb list for each food. She even stopped at a McDonalds on the way & when she asked for the carb list was provided with a calories list??!! Nospikyspiky phoned Hilton to complain & is still awaiting a phone call which was supposed to be yesterday...Let's not stand for this any more, companies should be more Diabetic friendly! #revfoodlution

I share my low carb, Diabetic friendly recipes!
Nospikyspiky recipes are as close to nature as possible, I prefer natural sugars & ingredients that are as natural as possible which do not spike my blood sugars (I am Diabetic) these meals are low carb/better carb sometimes no carb & great for both Diabetics and non Diabetics. I use low/standard fat amounts of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, butter or Coconut Oil (not high fat).
