Quick end of year-ish shout out to one of my favourite recent HK movies: 燈火闌珊 A Light Never Goes Out (2022) directed by — what I believe to be — 曾憲寧 Anastasia Tsang’s debut feature!?
The DP — who is also becoming one of my favourites — is boss man 梁銘佳 Leung Ming-Kai … the dude not only co-directed the amazing Memories to Choke On, Drinks to Wash Them Down (2021), but worked as the DP for some incredible HK works like Suk Suk (2020), Drifting (2021), and Far Far Away (2021). Unreal!!!
