I released a video that compiles all of chapters 1 and 2 from my cosmology lectures into one big 4-hour-long video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6zi9...
I also just uploaded the combined Cosmology videos. I'll be releasing this four-hour-long video with its own premiere to the general public on Wednesday. Enjoy!
Hey there, members! I just uploaded the last video from chapter 2 of Ryden's Cosmology. I'll leave it as members-only for about a day or so, and I'll make it a public premiere Monday evening. Enjoy!
Hey there! I'm putting the finishing touches on my remastered Module 13 right now. After that, it's time to re-record the last tow Sun module videos that need updating. Full re-recordings! After that, it's time to create the Cosmology course!
I'd like to announce my Patreon page. www.patreon.com/JasonKendallAstronomer
My hope is to really buckle down and make this channel something big. It may be a long slog to get all the videos remastered and updated, and it'll take a lot of time to complete the Cosmology course. This is my biggest hope to get this going, and I hope you'll join me!
WOW! This is my first video to break 1 million views! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJpPi...
Thanks everyone for your support and kind words!
In the immediate future, the goal is to clean up Module 9 on Stellar Evolution. There's been a number of advancements since I made those videos, and I also need to clean up some audio issues, too. It's the thing I'm actively working on right now...
I'm almost done with my Module 1 revision. As part of going through the entire series to redo them, to include new material, as well as improve the production values, I'm happy to say, I have two more to do, and then, I'll re-release the 4-hour-long combined version of the module.
It's been great to see the response so far to those efforts, and I know that people really do like the long video formats I've been making.
I'm also putting together the slides for the Cosmology course, too. That's coming along...
I taught introductory Astronomy at William Paterson University from 2011 to 2020, and at CUNY Hunter from 2016 to 2018. In my years of teaching, I tried to make my class innovative and interesting, featuring unique assignments and activities. I've also created a series of over 100 videos covering most of introductory Astronomy. These videos are rigorous enough to be possibly used as a low-level, self-taught Astrophysics class.
Most of the videos on this channel are geared towards a full intro astronomy course. It contains all the content of a typical undergraduate course, and then some.
