Yes, this is me standing with my mother. I must have been around 5 or 6 years old when this photo was taken. It was clicked at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. Sometimes I think that whatever I am today is because of my mother and family. As they say, a child's first school is their mother. When a child's first school is so beautiful, why do some people in society do wrong by others and bring shame to their upbringing?
What happened in Kolkata was wrong in every sense. In today's world, more than ensuring the safety of girls in India, there's a greater need to instill good values and education in boys. Additionally, it's crucial for every person to take responsibility and speak up when they see someone around them, whether friends or acquaintances, saying or doing something wrong.
Remember, those who corrupt society are still far fewer than the good people, and if we want, we can easily stop them, correct them, and bring them back on the right path. The day that happens, every daughter, every mother, and every sister in our country will reach home safely and happily.

Some Amazing Facts About India’s Independence
1.The first unofficial flag of India was hoisted by freedom fighters on August 7, 1906, in Kolkata (then Calcutta).
2.India technically gained independence on two different dates. The British Parliament passed the Indian Independence Act on July 18, 1947, but it was not until August 15, 1947, that the act came into effect.
3.India and South Korea share the same Independence Day. South Korea gained independence from Japanese rule on August 15, 1945.
4.The Indian tricolor flag as we know it today was adopted on July 22, 1947, just a few weeks before Independence. It evolved from earlier versions, including one designed by Pingali Venkayya, with the final version having Ashoka Chakra replacing the spinning wheel.
