Gauge, from the very moment I first held you in the hospital I knew you were going to change my life. Your mom and I were basically babies ourselves. In fact, she was your age at the time! We had no idea how to be parents, but we knew that we were going to give it our all.
I think every man has a picture in their mind of how they want their first child to be and you have been more than I could have imagined. We have been practically inseparable since day one. We’ve always shared the same interests, hobbies and phases. As a result we have spent much of our time together and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it! As much as you are my son you are a friend to me. One of my best friends!
My heart aches knowing that our days together are quickly coming to an end as you eventually start a life of your own, but the ache is mixed with joy knowing that what ever you do, you will bless those around you in the same way you’ve blessed me.
Love you son!

Happy Birthday to this young man! Warning, Sappy Dad Stuff ahead: This guy has been such a blessing in my life. I am so grateful to have been blessed with such a wonderful son and best friend. Since the day he was born, he has always been my "roll dog." He has always been incredibly interested in anything that I'm doing, from working on cars, to fishing, to music, we have always had so much in common. We have spent so much time together over the years and my heart breaks at the realization that he will eventually move out, start his own life, and our time together will be limited.
My wife and I were young when we had him. We had no idea what it meant to be a parent. In fact, funny story, I named him Gauge because I thought it would make him tough and respected in the streets! Needless to say, we had a completely different mindset back then. But Gauge turned out to be the best name for him because his life has been a "gauge" of God's grace and mercy on two young parents. God blessed us with Him and I couldn't be more grateful! Happy Birthday, G!

"Real reactions. Uncompromised truth" is the motto for our channel. Join Pastor Rob, his son Gauge and some of their friends as they react to a variety of music and videos from a Christian perspective. As with every reaction we do This is not an endorsement of the genre, the song or even the artists themselves. That is a matter of conscience. Our goal is to listen to each piece openly and objectively. Pointing out where it presents truth and error from a Christian worldview. This exercise is solely to help develop discernment and to show the often erroneous view the secular world has of Christianity as well as where they unintentionally get it right. It is important to note that we believe pure truth can only be found in Gods word.
