Hey honey! What a start to the New Year, January was just eventful! π€πΎ Let me give you an update on why I've been so quiet.
I finally got new pots π if you are an OG on this channel you know where we come from! π€£π€£π€πΎ It was just a happy moment no words could describe.
I don't know if most of you know, but all this time I have been filming on an old bar fridge. I put up a tablecloth for the background aesthetic and I have just been making it work.
After getting the pots, I decided it was time to upgrade so I approached a guy who acclaims himself as a Carpenter (i got his number from an influencer as a good reference) to make a kitchen unit something something. So that I could do my videos effortlessly.
He quoted me R3500 and I had to pay the R1750 deposit on 21 January and said he would deliver on 24 January. It is the 16th of February and I have received nothing but STRESS! He now refuses to give me my money back and now is not answering my texts on WhatsApp, when we call, his phone is off.
So yah, I have been scamned R1750 just like that. I am now forced to film on the floor, which I did on the past 2 videos I have posted, a tedious job! I put that bar fridge outside to the curb now it is watching me like "The grass is greener where you water it" π€πΎπ€£π€£π€£ I just have to swallow my pride, wash it and put it back in! Because at this point I am even afraid to approach another "business" to get the kitchen unit!
I am a person who lives with Crippling Anxiety and you can just imagine how I have been. I am stress eating a lot of junk because I am trying to push all the emotions away and it has really affected me Financially, Emotionally and Physically!

There is a delay in videos because my tripod tilt function broke and I am in the process of replacing it. I want to bulk shoot everything, edit, upload and schedule everything to come out one after the other so that we don't have a pause again. That might take a bit of time.

What a Rollercoaster year but we made it through. I have no idea what is coming in 2024, but whatever it is I am ready.
Update: I was discharged from hospital just in time for Christmas and I spent it surrounded by love from my family. Thank you for all the love and well messages! π₯°β€
This is how we baked scones at home and it was such a treat.
We had a great year as a family, hitting a lot of milestones. Looking forward to an even better year in 2024.

Hey honey! π I did not just dissappear on you guys, this has been my reality. I've been in hospital and currently still am. Hopefully I will be discharged in a day or two. I might also need some time to recover!
I do have some footage of recipes, it is just a matter of editing but they might take longer than expected. We are also part of the #YoutubeMadeForYou Shorts Program but by the looks of things, we might have to step back because the tasks require so much effort and strength which I cannot bring myself to right now.
