The Grand Canyon has some VERY interesting things that can be seen on Google Earth and also LiDAR. I've been planning a few spring hikes, and at the top of my list is exploring this intriguing 60 ft. pit in the heart of the forest. Is it a sinkhole, cave, or something else? I'll check it out when the snow melts!

Thank you for all your support! I appreciate you all!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Reaching 200K is a milestone that I thought I would never achieve.

The last year has been quite the journey for me. I have learned so much from you all - your ideas, perspectives, and experiences. I love that we can share this exploration together.

I can't express my gratitude enough for you being on this great YT adventure with me. I feel like I am extremely lucky to have you all part of my channel. I truly do feel like YOU are part of this.

Thank you for everything you've done for me. I'm so grateful for you. Just know that some of the best things I want to share with you will be coming early this year! ;-)

I wanted to share a special place that has three distinct rock art styles all right next to each other! This must have been a place with high traffic and significance for three separate and distinct cultures to peck/paint on these rock walls. The rock art styles here are the Barrier Canyon, Fremont, and Ute styles in Utah (see picture of the map I made). The Barrier Canyon Style is very interesting, usually featuring limbless figures that could be thousands of years old.

I'll see you in a few days! :-)

Thank you for your support! I appreciate all of you!!

**VIDEO SPOILER BELOW**

I will be posting a video this Saturday that has to do with one of these styles :-)

CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!

If you don't know by now, I bought my first drone almost three years ago. I was so excited that I spent the next several weeks flying it every second I could. I went down to Southeastern Utah and did some drone exploring and while flying, my drone lost connectivity (even though I had direct line of sight with it) and I lost it. I spent a good while searching for it but still couldn't find it. I scoured the area, returned for another search later, but alas, no luck in finding it.

Cut to this year, when out of the blue, I received a message from Colton Gardner. He and his nephew (or niece, apologies for any mix-up, Colton!) stumbled upon my lost drone while hiking in the same area. Colton had previously read about my drone misadventure in a blog post I wrote, so he figured this drone was probably mine! Can you believe it??

After corresponding for a while, today brought an unexpected knock on my door. Colton stood there, holding my long-lost drone! Miraculously, the SIM card was intact, and all my original footage and photos from several trips were still preserved. I had assumed the worst, imagining the drone to be smashed or crushed from its fall, but to my surprise, it's in good condition (check out the pictures).

Thank you so much, Colton!!

I have some stuff on the SIM card that I wanted to share on my YT channel years ago and I am currently making them into Shorts so stay tuned!!

I hope you're having a good holiday season and am hoping 2024 is a great year for you all. In terms of my channel, I have some things planned for early next year that I am VERY excited to share with you! :-)

Thank you for being part of my channel and for your incredible support! Each day, I read comments and get messages that are so inspiring and touching. I feel blessed I am able to do what I love and share it with you. Thank you so much!

Side note: The last video before my drone lost connectivity is on my SIM card, but I can't open it. The file is 229 MB in size so I know there is stuff recorded. It's in MP4 format. Any ideas on how I could open it? Might be interesting to see what happened to my drone before I lost it. I tried several different programs and video editing software, but still can't open it. Any ideas??

Wanted to give you an update on a place I visited a while ago.

On the surface this seemed like a large ancient village. I recently came across some LiDAR surveys done of the area and found that this place has a lot more going on than what I had originally thought. LiDAR reveals that there are a lot of rooms here and different types of structures. You can see the round pits scattered around and in line formations. The round pits appear to be rooms.

I said before that I suspect this to be an Ancestral Puebloan village, but I'm not sure. It's just what I think from the broken pottery and the type of architecture of the remaining structural walls.

Anyway! I thought you would all find this interesting! Let me know what you think

I wanted to let you all know that I'm working on a very large video for this weekend! I'm sorry if you were looking forward to a short one ;-). This video is different because it's from a 'user submitted' request! This request came to me by email asking if I would check out something. It just so happened that this last week, I had something near this person's request and thought I would see it. And I did! This will be quite the mystery that I am SO excited to share with you. Here is a picture of just part of this "thing". See you soon!!

Sometimes you think you are out in the desert alone and turn a corner and see something like this! This is the smallest one I've seen! These desert tortoises survive in harsh environments with very little water. They burrow to protect themselves from the harsh sun, cold weather, and predators. I don't see them too often but they are often found in the arid deserts of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.

(don't worry; I kept my distance from it. Please give wildlife their space)

About 7 months ago, I posted a picture of this circle I found on top of a large boulder. I said I was planning on making a visit soon and I wanted to let you know that I just got back from seeing it in person! This is going to be a large adventure video that I plan to post this Saturday (October 7) at about 8am (Mountain Standard Time). I will set it up as a Premier so we can live chat during it too if you want! I cannot wait to show you this incredible google earth discovery and, of course, some other surprising things I found along the way ;-) Hope to see you there!

Thank you so much for being part of my channel! It's because of you all that I am able to go a little bit farther and see some places now that I thought would take me another year or so to get to. Thank you thank you thank you!!
