You read that right! On December of this year, I will be featuring compositions from you all! However, in order to make this work, I will need your help!

You can help me out by making a YouTube video for your composition and sending a link to it. In lieu of that, you can otherwise send a video file. Alternatively, if that's too hefty of a task for you to do, then you can submit a PDF of the score of your composition and an audio link (MIDI or MP3) of your composition through the Google Forms link as well, and I'll make a video for your composition to be included in the bigger video I am making.
Submissions will be closed once the Google form reaches 100 responses OR after July 31, 2024, 11:59 PM GMT. Whichever one comes first.
The video will premiere on December 1, 2024 10:00 AM GMT-5. This is not a concrete date/time and is subject to change. I will do my best to adhere to this, but no promises!

I was thinking about my musical upbringing yesterday, and it kinda dawned on me that amateur musicians live in possibly the greatest time so far to develop their technique. While professional musicians have the benefits of formal education and much more time allowance for their artistry, ALL musicians live in a day and age where everyone’s ready and willing to give each other advice and motivation. Collectively, we’re all able to provide some insights or perspective that the person next to us may not know about.
It’s really a beautiful thing that sheet music with high polish and videos that demonstrate techniques are created and shared everyday. Never underestimate the value of a community - and in fact, try to be a contributor to one if you have it in you. I’m constantly in awe of the gems that I discover just by looking in a certain corner/niche of the internet or by encouraging people to join in on certain musical endeavors. You may have insights that people can benefit from! And if you’re an artist, I encourage you to put yourself out there and find your audience.
(Btw, almost all of this applies to cooking too! I’ve learned a ton of nutritious, easy-to-make, and low-cost recipes just from browsing YouTube or thinking “I wonder if someone has made this dish idea work” and taking that thought to Google lol.)
