Hello everyone, I hope you had a good holiday season. I wanted to thank you all for 5000 subscribers, your continued support means a lot to me. If you missed my last post, I previously discussed how I was unsure whether I wanted to pursue using Patreon concurrent with this channel. After spending some time thinking about it, I decided to follow through with those initial plans; I think it would be a fun venture to pursue and provide a means to more meaningfully interact with my community. Plus, both my current style of presentation and my plans for future topics make demonetization pretty much the default outcome of my videos.
I've already uploaded a sneak preview of the first 30 minutes of my next video to the page. To celebrate this grand opening, all patrons, regardless of tier, will have access to this preview. Going forward, I'll be posting monthly updates on the progress of my videos, as well as answering any questions you all might have.

Hello everyone, it's been a while. A long while; a year ago I hadn't even cracked 1k subs and now here I am at just under 3k.
As I was doing copyright checks for the original Umineko analysis video, a sudden tragic event happened in my personal life that took me away from YouTube for a while. When I came back to the Umineko video, I found it lacking; it wasn't the type of content I was happy with. At the time it was designed to be more "algorithmically viable" over a proper creative vision and the quality suffered as a result. I wasn't sure how to proceed; I had already been gone for months at this point and I knew I didn't want to just upload the Umineko video I had made since I wasn't happy with it. But I also didn't know how to come back and apologize to those of you who had supported me and my channel during its formative stages.
The silence on my end was inexcusable, and for that I sincerely apologize. Going forward, I'll be making an active effort to communicate when there's going to be significant gaps of time between uploads due to the size of the projects. I'm still learning how to be a proper content creator, and I want to be the best one I can be. Consider this the start of Season 2.
In its original form, the Umineko video was going to be split episodically per arc, rather than cramming it into one video, however structuring it that way limited how I was able to discuss the vn, especially considering the broader topics I had planned. So, in re-writing the Umineko video, I'm going the route of making a single holistic video, which lets me focus more on an analysis-driven approach rather than a plot-driven one. While I'm working on that, I'll be uploading a handful of smaller videos covering a few things I've been really interested in talking about. The first one will be about Kara no Shoujo, which HOPEFULLY will be out by the end of November [edit: it was, in fact, not out by the end of November].
Also a couple of you sneaky people found out I was g o i n g to start a patreon page concurrent with the release of the Umineko video; I had it all set up, then when I stepped away from the platform I completely forgot about it. I've closed it for now, and refunded those I could, since obviously there's been no content. I'm not sure if I'll reopen it; while I'm grateful to those of you who found it and pledged to it despite my not having properly announced it, I'm somewhat uncertain if patreon is something I want to add to this little channel of mine. That's a decision for the future.

hello everyone, just wanted to address a question I've been getting
regarding the possibility of a video on everyone's favorite witch
simulator Umineko
The short answer is yes, I am in the process of making an Umineko video
The long answer is the Umineko video is sort of the "end goal" of the
channel, something I want to give the utmost care and attention to given
how much I enjoy the work. I began writing the script a few months ago
during a re-read of the game along with some errant animation work to
experiment with how I want to deliver it all but the actual video itself
will be
a) extremely long, and
b) a very long time in the making
In the meantime other projects will take the forefront so that I don't
vanish for five years or however long the video takes to make. But yes,
eventually, before death takes me, there will be an Umineko video
