Iqbal’s vision and philosophy has inspired people for decades. It has been a great tool for positive change in society, and has inspired generations of people to work harder to achieve their ideals.
In order to bring the children of our society closer to Iqbal’s vision and perspective, ERDC developed a set of five activity books – Mera Iqbal – that present Iqbal’s poetry in an interesting and engaging way. Apart from connecting children to Iqbal, these workbooks are also a tool that can be used to achieve the higher goals of Urdu, Islamiyat and Social Studies.
Mera Iqbal book series won Presidential Award and has been praised internationally too. It has remained part of curriculum of several school and benefited numerous independent learners as well.
These books are designed for children from grades four to eight, and have an interesting selection of poetry for each age group. Each poem is followed with some activities that would make children more familiar with the Urdu language and its poetic expressions.
Through these books, we aim to bring our children closer to their language and literature, and enable them think more deeply about life.
