Last chance to get your hands on Kylieâs crochet in our charity auction - ending Sunday afternoon PT time! Weâre raising funds for Community Against Poverty for their continued work in Vietnam, Laos, Nepal and more. All the details are on our website at makedogrow.com/e3
And if youâve not checked out the video of our charity motorbike tour round northern Vietnam, head to our channel and watch last weekâs video.
đŻ Shoutout to all you lovely people that made this happen. Weâre honoured, humbled and still slightly confused about what our life has become but we love (almost) every minute of it. Thanks for supporting us through the bad jokes, innuendos and undo redos. Hereâs to the next 100k!
Any suggestions where we should hang the play button?
And finally, donât forget to join us at 8pm tonight (Portugal time) for a live chat during the premier of the final episode of our Vietnam adventure đď¸đťđłđ
Join us on Sunday at 8pm Portugal time (3pm EST) for a YouTube premiere of the final chapter of our Vietnam adventure. Youâll have the chance to chat to us in real time while you watch the video.
Soak up the sights as we journey up and down the mountains, riding the Ha Giang Loop on the back of bikes.
Thereâs lots of community projects to showcase as well as a special charity auction of something that Kylie has made. If youâve ever wanted to travel to north Vietnam â or get your hands on some original Kylie Ackers handicrafts, you wonât want to miss this.
Weâll be live in the chat throughout the experience adding extra tidbits of travel info and answering your questions. See you then!
Weâre back to building and have been putting some finishing touches to the limewash in the lounge. And weâve got an extra behind the scenes video for you today.
Join us for a lime wash chat and some insights into how we make videos as well as an interesting test of some new equipment. Check out the latest video for all the detailsâŚ
Weâve been on holiday and have a special episode for you this weekend. Can you guess where weâve been?
And yes, we did some building work whilst on holiday. All will be explained in the video! Tune in at the usual time - 9am Portugal time on Saturday!
Weâve got an extra video for you tomorrow! Tune in on Monday at 1930 GMT for a quick renovation update - some improvements to the pointed stone âclimbing wallâ and an attempt at âupside downâ plastering.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
Weâve got a BIG video ready to share tomorrow. Weâve put together a huge timelapse of all the work weâve done on the house renovation so far - over the last 3 years!
Tune in from 0900 Portugal time tomorrow đ
Towards the end weâll show the installation of the new tile floor in the downstairs bathroom. This means a flushing toilet is just around the corner which we are quite excited about!
This weeks video is slightly delayed but should be up tomorrow. Weâre in the middle of a bunch of projects in preparation for next weeks heat pump install and none of them are quite ready yet. So tomorrow we will have a slightly different episode where we take a trip to a quarry and factory which made these beautiful limestone tiles for us. I canât wait to see them on the floor!
Today we dug a 36m long trench. This is the first step towards getting the house connected to solar power.
Some people call us crazy for doing things like this. But we choose to do it. And you can choose to do whatever you want. Whoever you are, whatever age, gender or situation in life, anything is possible - regardless of what anyone else tells you.
If you want something, go out and get it.
And while anything is possible, that doesnât mean it will be easy. But do whatever it takes and youâll get there.
This brings back memories and it looks so different now. You can relive the transformation with us on YouTube at 9am Portugal time on Saturday 7 January as we show EVERYTHING we did last year in about 45mins of Timelapse. Youâll also be able to chat to us live throughout the show! See you there?
In 2020 we sold our two-bed flat in south west London and moved to rural Portugal to build a new life. We bought an old stone house on an acre of land that had been abandoned for almost 20 years. We've documented everything from house-hunting to renovating and growing food to making wine (and other refreshing beverages).
Follow our journey of renovating the house and restoring the land back to its former glory as we strive to create our dream home and semi-self-sufficient homestead.
We publish new videos every week on Saturday morning (and occasional bonus episodes throughout the week) so consider subscribing so you don't miss out.
