In the era gone by, Ghalib was the official bard at Bahadur Shah Zafar’s court and in the customary royal baithak his poetry, musical commentary on the socio –political mood of that time defined the zeitgeist of the period. That romance and relevance of a baithak is being invoked again. "Haroof" by ALSO | ideas content design, is bringing baithaks back, right into the discerning public domain with a contemporary twist. The idea is to create a community of discerning music lovers through curated evenings that celebrate saaz-o-mausiqui.
