The first revelation of the Qur'an began with the Devine message ‘Read’ Acquiring knowledge (Ilm) has been made obligatory for men and women alike. Hence Muslim Ummah responded positively to it. It devised, designed, and implemented a distinct and dedicated system of education for maintaining, preserving, and propagating Islamic Ideology.
According to Islamic Ideology imparting education to children is far better than giving gold in charity. The education of Qur'an, Ahadith, and Fiqh was imparted to them.

had drawn the attention of Muslim Ummah towards girls’ education. As an outcome of this realization several initiatives had been taken by responsible bodies as well as individuals to promote education in Muslim girls.
