I am heartbroken to hear that Clyde the camel has passed away. He was 24. Although Clyde wasnโt my personal pet, he was an extended member of our animal family. I worked with Clyde and his owners Gary and Renae for over 16 years. Clyde often appeared with me on local TV here in Idaho and even once on The Today Show in 2020. He was also a highlight during our summer animal shows. Adored by so many people in our community, this camel will truly be missed. Thank you Gary for sharing your best friend with us for so many years ๐๐ช

I rescued this snake over 20 years ago from an apartment in Boise, Idaho. His owners left him to die and he has scars going down his back where he was trying to escape underneath the apartment door. So grateful for Shere Khan and all the adventures weโve been on! Fun fact: He was the first snake I ever took on TV when I was just 14-years-old! Another fun fact? Welcome! My name is Corbin Maxey. I've been working with animals my entire life and care for over 30 exotic animal rescues including two alligators named "Soni" and "Chompers". My reserve is also home to "Napoleon" the emu, snapping turtles, giant tortoises, pythons, and an iguana!
I also have done a bit of TV work and you may have seen me on "The TODAY Show", "Late Night with Seth Meyers", or "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". I also host a nature podcast, called "Animals To the Max"!
I've been working in animal rescue for over 20 years and have a degree in biology from Boise State University.
